We had a new master, Sir Godber Evans, who came to Porterhouse with a reputation of a liberal politician, who all his life paraded fine campaigns for social justice, and achieved nothing. So, not to embarrass the general public anymore with fruitless campaigns, he was "retired" to be the master of our college. Where he, of course, at once started new reforms. He wants to abolish the annual feast, and all the college dining(Porterhouse is famous for its cuisine) and establish a canteen, firing all the kitchen stuff; make Porterhouse a co-educational college, and, what is much worse, he insists on admitting graduates on the basis of their academic achievements only. But we can't do this, the college isn't rich. Every year a part of the students are those whose parents subscribe to the endowment fund. That is how we educated brilliant but poor young men - rich pay for them and for themselves. The master threatens to uncover our practice if we refuse his innovations, what should we do?
