famed Swedish industrialist,
engineer, and inventor .
His studies into nitroglycerin and
its properties led him into
manufacturing what is
known as "dynamite" ...
With his patent in place he
also developed the detonater
as well ...
With the millions he made from his "invention"
he was able to establish himself as a scholar
and further his findings...
but alas, the riches he made off of his "destructive
invention" did not sit very well with his teachings
When he died in 1896, Alfred Nobel left behind a
nine million dollar endowment fund. Upon his death
he left a statement in his will to originate the
"Nobel Peace Prize" among other prizes in
his chosen fields to atone for his earlier "invention"
